Ground Shipping
All regular orders for Amish furniture will be sent by FedEx.
Delivery times vary depending on the location. Ground delivery may take 7 to 10 business days. Because these orders are individually placed in Amish country without benefit of computer or telephone, it may take two or three days for your order to be received and a week for your item to be hand made for you, if not in stock. Do not hesitate to contact us if you are concerned about your order.
The Cost of Shipping
Shipping and handling costs are based on weight, and to some extent the size of the order. Very few items sold on this website have oversize charges. Items made of hickory weigh more than oak. Rocking chairs are lighter than gliders. Each item added to the cart will have its weight calculated for an estimate of the shipping and handling cost of that item. To get the best deal on shipping prices, once you have a larger item in your cart, a small item added to the cart adds very little to the overall shipping price. That is the time to plan ahead for a smaller gift item to go along with your order for good stewardship of your order.
Oak saddle stools cost about $69. Hickory saddle stools cost a litle more, but 24" stools cost less than 30" stools. Rocking chairs are oversize items, but depending on the arm style, two may ship for the price of one because they nest. Some of the largest, heaviest items may cost $80 to $150 for shipping and handling. In the big picture, shipping reduces hassle with larger products and delivers them right to your door.
